Senior new appointment for dynamic Dempsey Dyer
Following the news that trade fabricator Dempsey Dyer will be implementing a controlled expansion of their 64,000 square foot manufacturing facility, the company has announced the appointment of a new timber factory manager.
28 year-old Mark Beaumont joins Dempsey Dyer from Jeld Wen, where he oversaw the composite door production line, and is tasked with helping the Pontefract-based company ramp up productivity and increase capacity to meet its highly ambitious 2016 growth targets.
Managing Director Peter Dyer comments: “2015 was the most successful year in our 38 year history and our ambitions for 2016 are huge. Mark’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Dempsey Dyer and considering he’s already proved himself elsewhere in the industry, we’re confident that he’s the man to help us take our business to the next level.”
Mark commented: “I really enjoyed my time at Jeld Wen but was looking for a fresh challenge and Dempsey Dyer seemed like the ideal career move. I’m relishing the challenge of having responsibility not just for timber fabrication, but uPVC as well, and spearheading our ambitious growth efforts in the year to come. What’s more, I’ll be responsible for preparing for the launch of a brand new product coming later in 2016 – something that will take Dempsey Dyer in a new and exciting direction.”
“I’m also hugely passionate about lean manufacturing, and one of my biggest priorities this year will be ensuring we maximise our productivity, and ensure every penny of investment is being used efficiently to deliver the highest quality products to our valued trade customers.”
Peter Dyer concluded: “With experienced and ambitious new starters like Mark coming on board all the time, it’s the most exciting time I can remember at Dempsey Dyer. We’re starting the year as we mean to go on – more people, more investment, more products, and, as ever, the very best standard of service for our trade customers.”
Dempsey Dyer was founded in 1977 by brothers Tom and Robert Dyer. In the decades since, the Yorkshire-based fabricator has grown to become one of the region’s foremost providers of timber and Deceuninck uPVC. In recent years, the company has combined the two specialisms to produce the Beaumont window range, mechanically-jointed uPVC frames with an authentic woodgrain appearance.
