FIT Show’s only timber fabricator sees leads soar
Yorkshire-based fabricator Dempsey Dyer is celebrating an upsurge in leads and business enquiries after the FIT Show, at which it stood out as the only timber fabricator.
Respected throughout the industry for both its dedication to craftsman-like quality and its versatility, today Dempsey Dyer offers one of the most diverse portfolios in UK glass and glazing, spanning uPVC as well as timber.
The company’s stand, located alongside that of its uPVC systems company Deceuninck, proved hugely popular with attendees, drawing dozens of visitors with a selection of stunning product models designed to showcase its range in the best possible light.
Dempsey’s long-established timber range was represented by a premium-quality door, made from ethically-sourced West African hardwood and modelled after 10 Downing Street’s iconic front entrance. A timber vertical slider also featured, equipped with spiral balances, traditional ironmongery and tilt-in facility for easy cleaning.
Always popular with installers and end-users alike, the company’s signature Beaumont window was designed to marry Dempsey Dyer’s extensive expertise in both uPVC and timber fabrication, and the remains one of the most impressive timber-alternative products currently on the market. The featured model was finished with colours from Deceuninck’s new Heritage foil range, English Oak on the outside, classic Heritage White on the inside.
“The fact we’ve been every year so far shows how highly we value the FIT Show at Dempsey Dyer,” said managing director Peter Dyer. “It’s a hugely important platform for us, allowing us to increase brand awareness among the most influential figures in the industry, win new business, and gauge the mood of glass and glazing as a whole – and this year, while we were very surprised to be the only timber fabricator in attendance, we were delighted to have the chance to fly the flag for such a fantastic material.”
“We’re currently working through a long list of leads and new contacts that came out of the show – but we want to encourage anyone else we met in Telford who hasn’t got in touch yet, or anyone who wasn’t at the show but has considered reaching out before, to give us a call.”
Dempsey Dyer was founded in 1977 by brothers Tom and Robert Dyer. In the decades since, the Yorkshire-based fabricator has grown to become one of the region’s foremost providers of timber and Deceuninck uPVC. In recent years, the company has combined the two specialisms to produce the Beaumont window range, mechanically-jointed uPVC frames with an authentic woodgrain appearance.
